House Fighters: Total Mess [Review]
is a toy airplane shooter that evokes a nostalgic feeling, reminding me of classic army man games from my childhood. My initial expectation was that the game would feature local multiplayer, and its complete absence was a major disappointment. Furthermore, the overall feel of the game is more akin to a mobile experience. Despite these issues, there is plenty to enjoy, and it is not a bad game. The main issue is the lack of content; although the game only costs $7, the offerings are not robust. Additionally, the controls are awkward with no option for customization. I completed the entire game in about an hour and a half. Considering its short length and lack of content, I would find it difficult to recommend it if the price point were any higher than $7. I genuinely hope that the developers add more missions and introduce some form of multiplayer dogfights in the future, even if it is limited to local play.
