Lost & Found: A This Bed We Made Story is a short adventure, a tiny morsel to enjoy in between the original This Bed We Made and the sequel this release teases.

In this 1-2 hour story, Sophie is now a steward aboard the transatlantic ship Orpheus. When passengers and crew begin to report missing items, her boss entrusts her with investigating. Find the missing belongings and identify the thief so the matter can be dealt with discreetly. Serve justice while avoiding embarrassment for the cruise line or your colleagues.

You quietly search passengers’ cabins while cleaning, interpreting clues as you go. When a passenger is still in their quarters, they might ask you for tea or coffee, giving you the opportunity to chat with them. The puzzles are relatively easy. It’s all about careful observation and making the correct deductions. Read notes and letters carefully. Look closely at evidence in the very tactile 3D view.

Playing Lost & Found feels like watching a good episode of a period television drama. Despite the supporting cast having brief screentime, with some represented entirely through their belongings, correspondence, or third-party accounts, every character feels fully realized, like a person with depth. I haven’t played the original game this one spins out from, and now I feel like I really need to.
