Lost and Found Co. from Thailand-based studio Bit Egg is a richly detailed hidden-object game with a story-driven campaign. With highly interactive environments, a beautiful art style, and a playful tone, it stands out as one of the best games in the genre right now.

You play as Ducky, a duck turned into a human by the dragon goddess Mei. Mei is on the verge of losing her home, the last shrine dedicated to her, to a conglomerate that plans to tear it down. With Ducky’s help, she realizes she can rebuild the faith that gives her power by helping people recover lost items. Naturally, this turns into a business.

The main levels are tied together through a motion comic story, and between those, you can take on bonus requests from additional clients. Some are quick, others are more involved, and altogether there’s a surprising amount of content here. Each level has its own theme and multiple bonus objectives layered on top. The big hook is how interactive everything is. You can click on nearly anything, and the game constantly rewards curiosity with little surprises. Half the fun is just poking at the world to see what reacts.

The presentation carries a lot of that appeal. Each location is dense with detail, almost like a Where’s Waldo? spread brought to life. Subtle animation gives the scenes movement without overwhelming them, and there are plenty of small references all over the place for anyone paying attention. I was always compelled to complete all the extra objectives because the levels are so fun to look at. The motion comic story works, but it’s slow. You’re either watching at its pace or skipping entirely, and I would have liked a middle ground.

There’s no shortage of hidden-object games, but Lost and Found Co. feels richer than most. It’s not just about finding items, it’s about exploring spaces that feel alive and reactive. I spent a lot of time just zoning out, clicking through scenes, and seeing what I could uncover next. It’s easy to recommend if this is your kind of game.
