Sedap! [Review]
Seadap! offers a slightly slower-paced experience akin to Overcooked, and fans of that series' chaotic fun will likely enjoy it. While Overcooked is often best with 3-4 players, Seadap! is specifically designed as a two-player co-op game, making the action feel more manageable (even with the increased size in stages). The core gameplay loop involves creating meals by gathering ingredients. Players must slay monsters for certain items and shear bushes for others, like tea. The fighting mechanics are engaging, reminiscent of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, and players can upgrade skills, weapons, and armor to aid their food truck venture. On-screen displays show the ingredients needed for various meals. Players then race to hunt and gather the required components to prepare the dishes before the timer expires—usually for about 10 meals. Preparation involves mini-games for chopping and cooking, followed by plating the meal and sending it out. Seadap! is available now and is a fantastic treat for Nintendo fans, a steal at $20.
