Grandma NO! [Review]
Grandma NO is a unique and witty game developed by WallRide and published by Super Rare Originals. Grandma NO offers a complete game crammed into a two to three-hour experience, eliciting laughter throughout. Its light-hearted, sweet-natured, Ren and Stempy-esque world is coupled with a reasonable price of $14.99 and original mini-games, which are definite positives and give a bit more depth to a game that otherwise would not have had any.
However, the humor, heavily reliant on childish jokes, might not appeal to all and lacks the sophistication of games like Octodad. At times, the game seems to overcompensate in its attempts at humor. While not a lengthy game, the few levels it has to offer give players a list of tasks for each area, which do work to extend the playtime beyond the short narrative. The silly music contributes to the overall playful tone. The best way to describe this game is Octodad had a child with Human Fall Flat, and they started dating Wario Ware.
