Time-Traveling While Drunk - Hank: Drowning on Dry Land from My Next Games

Jakub "Kuba" Lisiński has been working on Hank: Drowning on Dry Land for six years, and now the game is out! This is an adventure where you play co-op with your past self: beat impossible odds by traveling back in time through mirrors to help your past selves without being spotted, all before you die from being poisoned. Think Batman: The Animated Series meets Back to the Future Part II, except the protagonist is a perpetually drunk vigilante whose real superpower is time manipulation and his own worst enemy is really himself.

I sat down with Kuba at PAX to talk about the game, his vision, and why EU and Polish government funding made this weird game possible when everyone else said it was too ambitious.

Hank is unapologetically strange: a playable comic book about a flawed hero whose life is falling apart, wrapped around time travel mechanics that actually work. The game is out now!
