Sektori from developer Kimmo Lahtinen hits Nintendo Switch 2 today via the eShop for $14.99. Previously released on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, this is one of the best arcade shooters in years. The Switch 2 release arrives after a huge year for the game. Sektori landed on multiple 2025 Game of the Year lists and currently sits at a 93 MetaCritic score on PC and 89 on PS5.

Kimmo Lahtinen spent 13 years at Housemarque working on games like Resogun, Dead Nation, and Outland, so when you hear he’s independently released a new shooter, it’s worth paying attention. As somebody who still considers Geometry Wars one of the best arcade shooters ever made, Sektori is one of the few modern games that hits the same nerve. Razor sharp controls. Brutal difficulty. Stylish neon graphics and pounding electronic music. Sektori’s sensory overload makes it almost impossible to put down once you’re locked in.

The core campaign features five evolving stages where enemy layouts, bosses, and arena structures constantly shift. You tear through waves of enemies and collect their remains for upgrades. Additional modes include Boss Rush, Crash, Assault, Gates, Surge, and a mutator-heavy Classic mode.

You can grab Sektori now on the Nintendo eShop, while the existing Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series versions are available in their respective shops.

Release date: November 18, 2025 (Steam/PS5/Xbox Series X|S), May 14, 2026 (Nintendo Switch 2)
