Taking place in the Grand Ballroom of the San Jose Convention Center, the Crunchyroll Industry Panel was the place to be for all the latest and greatest news coming from the anime streaming giant. We were on the scene as they began their announcements, starting with…
Members of the community team at Crunchyroll took the stage to talk about a year in review of all their community efforts and how large the community is. We’re shown a wall of Tweets from various users all over the world mentioning their love and how they are appreciative of the service. One Tweet definitely stuck out though which included a picture of a cat with a pizza. Upon the release of Attack on Titan season 3, Crunchyroll ran a campaign entitled, “A Snack on Titan” where fans needed to Tweet “@crunchyroll” along with “#AttackonTitan” and a pizza emoji and you’ll be entered into a chance to win some free pizza! Over 1,000 pizzas were delivered to some lucky fans during this campaign.
Next we we have an update from the Crunchyroll Games project. A new collaboration with the mobile game, Danmachi Memoria Freese (also known as Danmemo), based on the anime, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Crunchyroll announced the release on Danmemo earlier this year, and now they are doing a new collaboration staring their very own mascot, Crunchyroll-Hime!

Super Fan Pack
One of the biggest pieces of news to come from the Crunchyroll Industry Panel was the announcement of the Crunchyroll Super Fan Pack. This new service, aiming to debut in Q4 2018, will bundle together all the benefits of Crunchyroll and VRV, along with a membership to Aniuta US, J-Novel Club, Utomik, along with discounts from RightStuf and MunchPak Snacks. It is stated to be $100 in value and will be a new subscription offered by Crunchyroll for $15/mo. This offer currently will only be available to those in the US.
Not to be outdone by anime, Crunchyroll also announced that more manga will be heading to the service with the releases of Talentless Nana, One Room of Happiness, and YanOta: The Delinquent and the Otaku. These manga will launch world wide on Crunchyroll in September!
But wait! There’s more!
The announcements didn’t stop there as the panel started to wrap up. We were first given an announcement from Mamoru Miyano himself announcing the premiere of Zomebieland Saga in October.
