The Pull! [5.7.25]
Dear readers, you know what today is? That’s right it is New Comic Book Day, now let’s take a seat for a minute and what is in store for this week for new comics.
Let’s start with DC today, Absolute Green Lantern #2 is coming out this week. The first issue was a slow burn and focusing on Hal Jordan, looks like issue #2 will clear up some of the questions we still had after the first one. Abin Sur is here, and he is judging people, one can wonder how Hal was judged and how Jo was judged. This comic is 32 pages for $4.99.
From Dynamite this week is a brand new, Captain Planet #1! Now I wasn’t born when the original Captain Planet tv was airing, but I did see reruns of it, and I have always had a fondness of it. At its core Captain Planet has always been about environment and after reading an advance copy of this new #1, that still holds true. It’s time for a new group of Planteers to show what they are made of. This comic is 32 pages and will be $4.99.
Let’s keep the planet theme going with Image Comics this week and Free Planet #1! What happens when a planet gets its complete independence? What does it mean to truly be free? What happens when several intergalactic powers try to encrouch on your new freedom as a planet because of an energy source? Well, the revolutionary heroes have a lot of work ahead of them that is for sure! This comic is 32 pages for $3.99.
From space epic to space horror with Mad Cave Studios and Vanishing Point #1! A new space horror anthology by writer Mark Russell and a different artist at the helm for each issue. The first issue deals with being alone on a ten-year journey out in space. I always enjoy space horror because who knows it might be real one day! This comic is $4.99.
Last but not least, it’s Marvel Comics with It’s Jeff: Jeff Week! I think I am in a huge camp of people who just enjoy Jeff for the weird little guy that he is. Always being silly and cute, a fun simple comic to read and just as enjoyable to look at. This comic actually takes the digital Jeff comic issues and brings them to physical for all to enjoy! This comic is 48 pages for $5.99.
That wraps it up for our list today dear reader! Thank you as always for stopping by and seeing what we recommend, remember to let us know what you recommend down in the comments! Till next week, stay great, stay hydrated and read more comics!
