Alright chat let’s do this! New Comic Book Day for 5/14/25!
I want to start off with Image Comics and what most people are pretty excited for! Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1! With the hit animated tv show and now expanded universe with reprinted trade paperbacks and videogames almost everyone has at least heard of Invincible and most of those people know of Battle Beast and how crazy powerful he is. Now we get a new story following Battle Beast! Another thing that has people excited for this comic is Image Comics is doing a Blind Bag for the first issue! If you choose to get the blind bag, you have a chance to get a bunch of variant covers but also a Invincible #19 reprint which is the first appearance of Battle Beast, a very exclusive addition of Battle Beast #2 to be read a whole month early and what most people are trying to get a reprint of Marvel Team up #14 which is Spider-Man and Invincible team up! Safe to say lots of excitement with this one! This comic will be $3.99!
Up next is DC with Supergirl #1, now as the summer of Superman is upon us, we are also lucky to get a new Supergirl ongoing! Supergirl is going back to Midvale to try and get back to her roots of being a superhero, so she isn’t stuck being just another super member in Metropolis, but it seems like an imposter is already ahead of her in her new beginning! This comic is $3.99!
Up next is Marvel Comics with One World Under Doom #4! If you have been keeping up with this event you know that Doom has always been several steps in front of our heroes but now Dormammu is now stepping in and it seems like this issue is going to be a one v one, Dr. Doom vs Dormammu is definitely a match that can go either way! This comic is $4.99!
From Dark Horse Comics this week is a new #1, Huck: Big Bad World #1! This is a continuation of Huck, but this is a new start to the series, and it is a good jumping on point if you enjoy reading Superman like characters navigating a world that is down on its luck. This time Huck learns him and his mom aren’t the only super humans, many are hiding, and it looks like Huck is going on a new adventure! This comic is $4.99!
!Last but not least from IDW Publishing is Godzilla: Here there be Aliens #1, in the middle of the 20th century aliens are invading, but everything is not as it seems, the government has been infiltrated and it’s up to rogue operatives to band together with Godzilla to try and save the world! This comic is $4.99!
