Gedonia 2 [First Impressions]

Currently, Gedonia 2 is not ready and needs more time in the oven, its just difficult to recommend, though as an early access title, this is subject to change. While the foundational elements are present, significant improvements are needed. The controls feel clunky and needs substantial fine-tuning. The animations are among the worst seen in any modern day game. Gedonia 2 feels underdeveloped, and its world lacks sufficient NPCs, making it feel lifeless. Frequently throughout my gameplay sessions we encountered buggy and strange issues that further emphasizes that it's most likely coming out of alpha state, suggesting a premature public release. It can easily be assumed, this game will remain in early access for an extended period, possibly four or more years based on what we are experiencing here. Lastly all progress is only tracked for the host. So mission progression and world progression is reflected for the host only.

Despite its flaws, Gedonia 2 offers a significant amount of content and hidden discoveries, with various skills unlocking unique gameplay aspects often requiring multiple playthroughs with different character specializations to fully appreciate. However, the unintentionally humorous and oftentimes painful voice acting, even during serious narrative moments, may deter some players or who knows, bring some players in. The game is also incredibly buggy, with issues like limbs getting stuck in position during combat or your character clipping into the environment. Companion NPCs can become obstructive, frequently getting stuck and creating overcrowding, a problem exacerbated by the current limit of three followers per player. Additionally, some quests fail to complete correctly, while others may duplicate, requiring redundant completion. Considering its current state, a recommendation for Gedonia 2 is not possible. A re-evaluation will be conducted and shared following future updates.
