Stilt [Review]

Stilt is a beautifully crafted platforming game available for both solo and multiplayer play. The gameplay, reminiscent of Super Mario Sunshine's hidden worlds, focuses on point A to point B platforming with camera-based navigation controlled by head movements. Additionally, some sections require players to channel their inner Spider-Man, swinging between platforms. Players will also have to use their heads with a bit of problem-solving using the various power-ups and the unique physics to navigate the world.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Stilt. The mechanics were easy to adapt to, and the levels proved both fun and challenging, offering a decent arm workout. It's essentially a collect-a-thon platformer, evoking memories of the old days of platforming. The graphics are bright, colorful, and packed full of charm.

The multiplayer mode involves a game of Tag, Death Match, Balloon Hunt and Arina Bash. Players can also just hang out in the lobby and talk and fool around. Its worth noting Stilt is cross-platform compatible between PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest, and PC VR. The developers have clearly put a lot of work into this game, and it is incredibly polished. They also release decent-sized free content or event updates seemingly every other month. Stilt is a fantastic experience that I truly believe all VR players should try. This amazing game should grace every VR player's library.
