More Physical Release Goodness: Islets Gets A Very Limited Relase Through Super Rare Games
Look what showed up in The Geekly Grind mailbox! Well, at least mine anyway. I didn’t know about this game at all until today, but I’m sold on the idea of traveling around a cute Metroidvania world on a rickety airship. The physical copy has all sorts of goodies, and I’m sure would be a fine addition to anyone’s Switch game collection! See the press release from Super Rare Games below!
A surprisingly wholesome metroidvania gets a physical Nintendo Switch release on March 9th.
We're taking to the skies and reuniting the world together with Armor Games and Kyle Thompson to bring you Islets, the surprisingly adorable metroidvania about an aspiring warrior on a noble quest, coming physically to Nintendo Switch™ for the very first time.
A total of 4,000 copies will ever be printed. The game will go on sale on March 9th at 6pm GMT (10am PT/1pm ET) - available worldwide exclusively at superraregames.com.
A standard Super Rare Games release comes with all current content on its cart at the time of printing, a full-colour manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards. Fans also won't be waiting for long as Super Rare Games titles ship shortly after release.
ABOUT ISLETS
Iko is an aspiring yet hopeful warrior exploring the land and sky to reunite a series of floating islands. With his rickety airship, he must travel from island to island in order to reignite each one's magnetic core while fighting off the many adversaries standing in his way.
Islets is a surprisingly wholesome metroidvania about making connections with the people around you. By reuniting the islands and befriending a cast of charming characters, the world expands and reveals new parts of each area for Iko to explore. Scour every nook and cranny in order to collect the many upgrades hidden around this world and face its numerous hidden challenges!
There's also a tour guide to show you around, but you should be careful. The guy's got some really weird vibes...
