Delicious in Dungeon - Episode 2 [Review]
Another week, another menu item on the fantastical fantasy series, Delicious in Dungeon!
As the adventuring party delves further into the dungeon, Marcille has a nightmare about her favorite childhood dishes morphing into horrifying bowls full of monster parts. Startled awake, she laments their recent dietary path, which causes Senshi to go into a passionate tirade on the real danger of the dungeon: malnutrition!
Deciding to seek out a fattier beast (preferably with some eggs), Senshi and Laios target a Basilisk as their next meal. After raiding the nest for some eggs, they save a fellow adventuring pair from certain death and manage to serve up a delicious chicken dinner - courtesy of the slain basilisk.
Later, Marcille has a crisis of confidence after she sees herself as a burden, and goes about proving her worth in…well…the worst way possible. The entire escapade is hilarious, and the dynamics of the party continue to entertain.
Finally, Chilchuck shows off his rogue-like abilities, disarming traps and trying to keep the party out of danger. Senshi, however, isn’t as keen on the details, which leads to a humorous clash. After discovering a fire-trap, Senshi decides that it’s the perfect way to get some tempura into the menu!
Delicious in Dungeon is a surprising treat, with some great comedy and mouth-watering scenes of cooking…basilisk eggs? While the skit-structure can be jarring at times, overall it’s proving itself to be an excellent retreat - with humor, action, and new culinary curiosities to look forward to each week.
