Whisper Mountain Outbreak - The Geared-Up Update Is Now Live!

Toge Productions is excited to unleash more horror - while also taking care of our agents' survivability - in Whisper Mountain Outbreak's latest update, The Geared-Up Update!e.

Our friends Toge Productions continue to roll out updates for Whisper Mountain Outbreak. It’s not my sort of game at all, but I’m excited to see it continue to get support! - Janette/PossumCoffee

As mentioned in the title, this next update will provide agents with new equipment to tackle the monstrosities and complete their missions. But it's not necessarily going to be easier, as new challenges are also introduced.

Several improvements are also implemented to create a smoother experience. The Geared-Up Update is available for both the full game and the Friend's Pass version

New Features Highlight

Utility Items

Agents can equip these items to reduce or counter the negative effects inflicted by Cursed Items.

  • Hazmat Gear - A sealed protective gear that protects against irradiation, toxic puddles, dizziness, and disorientation.

  • Night Vision Goggles - Prevents blindness, improves visibility in darkness, and reveals invisible enemies.

  • Armor Vest - Reinforced combat armor that breaks when its durability is depleted. Its weight reduces movement speed.

  • Lockpicking Tool - Skips the traditional lockpicking sequence.

  • Bolt Cutter - Initially a one-mission item only, the Bolt Cutter can now be carried between missions to cut bolts, chains, padlocks, rebar, and wire mesh.

Dizziness Effect

A new status effect that disorients agents, affecting their control and movement during missions. It comes with the Sickness Bar.

  • Sickness Bar - A new status UI displayed below the stamina bar. Once it passes the red threshold, agents will suffer from Dizziness.

  • Cause of Dizziness - Excessive consumption of herbs, toxic goo, and cursed items.

  • Antidotes - Various items to reduce the Sickness Bar or curse Dizziness. Those are Blue Herb and Tonic.

New Map: Hotel De Maan

A historic colonial-era hotel in the heart of Daha, Hotel De Maan hides a dark secret beneath its aging halls. And with a new map, come more puzzles. Can you find the concealed chambers that safeguard the valuables you seek?

New Mission Type: Extermination

Clear the map by locating and destroying every brood nest infesting the area.

Three-Phased Rogue Map

The roguelite map is now divided into three phases, with an initial low-density phase designed to help agents learn and adapt to the core gameplay before facing larger and more complex encounters.

The Leaderboard System

Compete with other agents and climb the ranks by earning top scores across missions. NOTICE: Since the game is currently in Early Access, leaderboard data may be reset periodically as we continue to develop, improve, and balance the game.

Improved Class Selection Menu

A refreshed class selection interface featuring six available classes, with five displayed at a time. Each class can only be selected by one agent, so choose wisely before deployment.

Rim Light Shader

Added rim lighting effects to player characters, enemies, and dropped items, improving visibility and readability in dark environments.

Bug Fixes

Dozens of fixes that enhance the game's overall experience. The detailed fixes can be found in the patch notes.
