Lost Twins 2 [Review]
Lost Twins 2 is a puzzle-platformer that follows two twin protagonists. The game’s main mechanic involves sliding sections of the level around, similar to a sliding tile puzzle. The objective is to guide both characters to the level’s end and potentially collect collectibles. Unlike other games with enemies, timers, or a life and death system, Lost Twins 2 offers a stress-free experience.
One notable yet unfortunate feature is the co-op mode, in which players can control one of the twins. While I appreciate the inclusion of multiplayer, it doesn’t quite work for this game. The entire game pauses when you slide the level, so even if one player focuses on sliding, the other spends their time watching and occasionally moving their character before resuming the sliding. Playing alone, the game is enjoyable and feels like a slow-paced puzzle game. The art style and movement are reminiscent of flash or mobile games. The puzzles are generally good, though they can be challenging, especially if you’re trying to collect extra feathers throughout the levels. However, the game never becomes overly difficult.
Lost Twins 2 offers a decent single-player experience for puzzle enthusiasts. It could even be a good starting point for those who typically dislike puzzles, as the game creates a stress free environment that allows players to take their time with the levels. Personally, I was excited about the co-op experience, but I ultimately don’t believe this game was designed for multiplayer. If you enjoy puzzles, I recommend checking it out during a sale.
