Cologne/Berlin, Germany - July 30th, 2026 - Blue Backpack and co-publishing partners ByteRockers' Games and PARCO GAMES' critically acclaimed 2D hand-drawn metroidvania, Constance, is available today on Nintendo Switch 2 for a price of $19.99 / €19.99 / £16.75. For players that already own the game on Nintendo Switch the game will update automatically to the Switch 2 version.
Constance has now sold 100,000 copies since release, while earning flattering comparisons to the likes of Hollow Knight and Celeste. It has been described as "among the best the metroidvania genre has to offer" by 4P.de, an "easy recommendation" by Nintendo Life and GamesRadar+ insists that "you should absolutely play it".
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Constance features an improved performance mode running up to 120 FPS, an improved quality mode running at 1440p resolution, new and improved audio and integrated achievements.
