Money Talks, Everywhere
Well, the big news is in. Ainz Ooal Gown is broke! It looks like it doesn’t matter how good of an adventurer you are! Funding multiple team members of his team while building a fake Nazarick is quite expensive. Who would have thought that? In other news, I’m starting to wonder if rotating between Ainz heavy and Ainz light episodes are going to become the norm for this season. This was definitely a light one for him. Just as I said in my previous review, however, this is not always a bad thing. This weeks focus continues to be on the humans and the 8 fingers organization.
We now know who’s behind the team that is setting aflame (literally) to the underground crime organization. Princess Renner seems to be directing and leading. Meanwhile, it turns out that both of her brothers are horrible human beings. It is also likely that they are a part of the 8 Fingers organization. The Princess mentioned that 8 fingers are backed by plenty of royals. Coincidence? I think not. Two of Renner’s guests were also the ones that set the drug on fire in the last episode, Lakyus and Tina. Apparently little Climb who according to Gazef, will never get past the gold level, is also apart of their little band of rebels.
This episode really brought home the fact that there seems to be a lot of treachery and underhanded things happening in the kingdom. It appears that the members of Nazarick are not immune to such trouble. Sebas has grown quite fond of the woman he rescued, Tuare. Solution on the other hand, not even close. She like many others of Nazarick despises humans, she enjoys eating and playing with them, not having them around the house. Her contempt for Tuare was obvious from the beginning.
This plays into the main problem. Some members of 8 fingers or at the very least, members of the “establishment,” that Tuare was almost killed, have found Sebas’ residence. Without a real plan and no indication that he is willing to give Tuare up, Solution seems to have had enough. Still, it’s surprising that she has called Ainz to report that Sebas is a traitor and that she has evidence to support such a claim. What could this be? Clearly, her dislike of humans plays into her reasoning. However, she seems to genuinely believe what Sebas is doing is wrong for Nazarick.
Will Nazarick Be Its Own Undoing?
This cliffhanger more than anything makes me wonder. Is this how Nazarick will fall? Not from other enemies, but from tearing itself apart? Will everyone start thinking for themselves a little too much and one by one turn on each other, or even on Ainz? Only time will tell, I have a feeling we may not find out Sebas’ fate until a couple of episodes from now!
